This is a generation of instant gratification, where waiting and perseverance are nothing but negligible concepts. We're living in an age where giving up is the norm and hard work is a rare talent. I myself can't even tell you how many times I'd wanted to give up in the past... and even right now.
Life will always find something to throw at you, a pebble, a stone, a rock, a boulder; eventually, a whole wall. A wall of hopelessness and negativity, a wall that will prevent you from seeing that something is worth hoping and fighting for. A wall of "What if's?"
So go ahead, give up! Give up because it's not that important to you. Give up because all those hours, days, weeks, months, and years of perseverance are only supposed to go down the drain because times are hard. Give up because you have the right to do so. Give up.Then watch your life after stopping at that moment. Take a look at what you have gained and lost because you chose to surrender to it all.
Have you gained what you were hoping for or did you lose so much more? If it's the previous, will you please tell me how you did it so that I can also give everything up? I'm tired, you see. If it's the latter, then fight with me.
No war is easy. No carnage is bloodless. You get wounded because you fight, because you care, because you don't want your life to just be black and white... but a vibrant of colors. You have to be carved, molded, burned, tested, and pressured to become something NEW; something BETTER. You have to endure and overcome pain to understand and value love, joy, and peace.
So, GIVE UP or GIVE UP ON GIVING UP? Your move.
Awesome! :)
