What God CAN DO for US.

I Just Want YOU. (Planetshakers)

More than a nice melody
More than the sweetest of words
This is the love I have found
And with this love, I am found

I just want You, Jesus
I just want You, my Lord
I just want You, Jesus
I just want You

Never could I comprehend
The love You so freely give
Never could I be worthy,
But Your love covers all of my sins

There is no greater love than Yours
Nothing else could ever compare
And even if I search all the world,
I would never find a love like Yours, God.

The Good Kind of "LOST"

Everyone gets lost sometimes; some more often than others. It seems to be natural for man to get lost because it's also natural for everyone to be stubborn every now and then. We lose our way not primarily because of a broken and messed up sign, but because we're not looking at the right signs.

From http://inso.gaming.free.fr/Wallpapers/
All of us are also afraid of getting lost because we may never find the right path again. So why are talking about this again? Why should this Christian blogger care about someone else getting lost? Well, I care because I'm also lost.
I'm lost in God's great love.
This love transcends heaven and earth. It even exceeds the boundaries of the universe. How do I know? God showed me. When Jesus spread His arms while He was being crucified for my sins, I saw just how deep, wide, and immeasurable this gift is. He didn't fight the nails, whips, thorns, spear, and humiliation. He didn't resist the price of standing between us and death. He simply didn't.

Instead, His arms were opened wide; His heart even wider. This love that died for an enemy is something that I can only dream to understand. It is, though, something I will eternally be grateful for. Even if I was once lost in seemingly endless worldly pursuits, JESUS found me. This love found me and now, I'm so lost in the same thing that led me back towards the right path.

I'm lost, so lost, in this indescribable love that crossed the darkness and endured inexplicable pain for me. This is what I believe in: JESUS offers something that every person needs. Actually, He offers everything and exceeds every expectation we have.
Jesus offers what he lost when He died for us: LIFE. (John 6:35)
If you want to live, die (Galatians 2:20).
If you want to change, surrender everything. And I mean everything; every single thing to JESUS. God promises you and I personally assure you that nothing in your life will ever be the same again. Absolutely nothing will ever be as dull and saddening as before. Everything will be made new. Everything will be changed because of the LOVE that saved the world.

Homesick (Lyrics by MercyMe)

I just miss JESUS so much; so much, it hurts. Ahh, I'm so homesick. Here are the lyrics of "Homesick," one of my favorite MercyMe songs. God bless you guys! :)

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

In Christ, there are no goodbye
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again

And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow

I've never been more homesick than now

Love Found You

True love can be true no matter what form it takes.
These past few weeks have been a bit funny and interesting in so many ways. Essentially, though, many people in my life have been asking me about my love life or the reason why I lack such a thing in my life.
Well, it's not that I have taken a vow of celibacy or have any inclinations to become a monk someday. However, I just recently found a great and better way to spend my time as a guy starting his twenties.

Though I may seem prepared to be in a relationship at the moment, there's just no way I'm making any space right now for anyone else because many things in my life haven't been settled yet. No, I'm not expecting everything to be solved or figured out before I start courting--or professing my undying love (Haha) to-- someone. I am, however, aware of the freedom that comes with singleness.

I see many youth (And I don't even have to look far) around me desperately trying to find someone who can "perfectly fit the spaces between their fingers," "complete them," "love them for who they are," etc. The list of what both the young and the not-so-young want nowadays never ceases to grow. Unfortunately, many of their pursuits prove to be in vain.
True love is not sought because TRUE LOVE already found you.
You don't have to search for someone, who can meet all your standards and ideally exceed them. You don't have to spend so many hours crying over someone, who mercilessly trampled on your heart. You don't have to wallow in loneliness because someone dumped or rejected you. You don't have to feel alone.

Thankfully, I also see many adolescents nowadays living their lives to the fullest; not letting their losses stop them from being happy. Most of these people are so crazy about loving God and they're really focused on living each day for Him. Now you might say that I'm being too spiritual or something, but this is an accurate observation.

We can go on and on about God's existence or non-existence, but it all comes down to what people are constantly looking for: acceptance and unconditional love. You see people run after numerous pleasures everyday and later on, see most of them lost and even more broken than when you first came across them. People want to be free and loved and these are the things that God's offering through JESUS CHRIST.

Give it a shot. Discover this love: the one love that found you. This is the only love that died for you even if you were unlovable, messed up, stubborn (Romans 5:8). This is the love that can transform you (2 Cor 5:17). :)

Following the Follower: Built for Meaningful Leadership

Everyone wants to be followed because leading brings forth a greater sense of power.
Having authority over others feels great because you often get what you want. However, such power also demands great sacrifice; something many leaders are hesitant to make. You may or may not be in a position of authority, but if you are given the chance to lead, do you think you're ready?

Leadership isn't a matter of having the ability to boss people around. It shouldn't even become a constant clinging to your title, whatever that title may be. Leaders aren't just appointed; they're made. They're developed daily by the trials they face and by a genuine desire to not just be heard, but to hear and listen to what others have to say. Those who lead are great listeners and those who want to lead should be humble followers.
Those willing to follow are the same people who are eventually transformed into someone worth following.
No matter how many years you've been leading a group of people, an organization, your church, or your family, the right leadership skills may still be evasive until you learn that you should become a humble servant. Our pride limits our ability to sense the soundness of what those above, below, and around us are saying. If we choose to not pay heed to what others want to share, we reject the opportunity to gather insights, which may be relevant to the growth of our leadership.

Many people demand respect and maybe you have also asked someone to respect you and your choices. This is the question, though: "Do you respect others and the things they believe in?" It's easy to demand what makes us feel good and important, but many of us think more than twice before we give to others what we're demanding from them. It's easy to say that someone's not a good leader, but it's very difficult to claim that you yourself are also lacking.

Here's a verse from Matthew 7:4 (NIV):
"How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?"
Leadership is humble service, not a constant waving of your power to tell others what to do. There's a very thin line between leadership and bossiness. There can also be a thin line between what you think is right and what's actually best for those you're leading. It's always best to "be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry." (James 1:19, NIV)

As a leader, you're tasked to take care of everyone, who trusts in the position God gave you.
Before you're a leader, you're a servant. Before you can tell someone what to do, you should first listen to what he or she has to say. After all, it's better to have every thought or idea laid out before things are settled.

Great leadership isn't characterized by the number of people following you, but by a heart that constantly seeks the Greatest Leader (JESUS). So have compassion for those, who need God's guidance through you.
God bless and rock on!
